Our Community

At St Barnabas we are dedicated to building a strong relationship with the community.

We work closely with a range of local and national organisations, from charities to colleges. If you would like to find out more about how St Barnabas could get involved with your organisation, contact us.

Church of England

St Barnabas Church and Erdington Parish sit within the Diocese of Birmingham, which is headed up by Bishop David.

St Barnabas Primary School

We work closely with St Barnabas Primary School – Freda, our Vicar, is a Governor and supports their admissions policy.

John Taylor Hospice

John Taylor Hospice and their League of Friends have a long-standing relationship with St Barnabas as a major hospice care provider in the area. We promote the League of Friends and try to help them reach more people with their messages.

Birches Green Infant & Junior School

We work closely with all the local schools and both Birches Green Infant and Juniors regularly come here as part of their RE programmes and at key times during the year, like Christmas and Easter.

Erdington Town Centre Partnership

The church centre is a hub of the local community and so the welfare and continued development of Erdington matters to us.

Birmingham Metropolitan College

Birmingham Metropolitan College are a leading provider of skills training and support across the West Midlands.

Prince's Trust

The Princes Trust offer a 12-week programme to help young people gain skills, confidence and qualifications.  They helped us with running the job fair and we also offer work experience to their participants.

Join us, to search, to listen, to grow, to laugh, to feel part of something good.
