Aston and Sutton Coldfield Deanery Eco Festival

Saturday 9th October 2021

1.00pm – 4.00pm

at St Chads Church, Hollyfield Road, Sutton Coldfield B75 7SN

Unsure how to respond to the climate emergency? Want to find out how you and your church can work towards the Church of England’s aim of being net carbon neutral by 2030? Or just want to meet like-minded people seeking to care for the world around us?

Then come to the Deanery Eco Festival to get ideas and be inspired by what others in the local area are doing.  The day will include presentations and videos about environmental projects in the local area.  There will be an opportunity to take part in a Forest Church service, have a go at making eco dyes, and other craft activities. There will be stalls including a plant and clothing bring and swap stall.

There will be an eco trail within the church grounds for families, a junk modelling competition with prizes for different age categories, which children can take part in on the day (materials provided) or bring their own model that they have made a home.

Tea, coffee and cakes will be served throughout the day. Entry to the Eco Festival will be via a donation of tinned or packet food for Hope Sutton (food bank).
