Lighthouse Room

 
 

The Lighthouse Room is a versatile, bright and spacious room that overlooks the churchyard and Erdington High Street. Situated on the second floor and with lift access, the room is suitable for meetings, conferences, training sessions and more.

Proceeds from our room bookings are reinvested into St Barnabas Church Centre, supporting our Community Hub initiatives and activities that benefit the people of Erdington and beyond.

Hire Times

The Lighthouse Room is available to hire Monday to Saturday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
Please note the building is closed for hire on Sundays.
For evening bookings, please contact us to discuss further details.

Room Capacity

At full capacity, the Lighthouse Room comfortably holds up to 100 people in theatre style and 80 people in cabaret style. Other room configurations can be accommodated, dependent on your needs. 

2026 Hire Rates

Day Rate - £305
Half Day Rate (up to 4 hours) - £200
Evening Rate - Standard rates apply, with an additional charge of £75 per hour for bookings extending beyond 5:00pm.

Please note that there is no VAT on room hire.

  • 10% discount for registered charities and local community groups*

  • 10% discount on block bookings of 10 or more separate dates*

Room Equipment & Facilities

The following equipment and facilities are available at no extra cost:

  • Tables and chairs

  • Stand alone projector and screen for presentations

  • PA system with microphone

  • Lectern

  • Flipchart/pens/paper

  • Wi-Fi

  • Lift access from the ground floor

  • Air conditioning

Funeral Wakes

The Lighthouse Room is also available for funeral wakes. This private space, with a window view of the church altar, offers a comforting environment for family and friends to gather and reflect after a funeral service.

St Barnabas Church Centre is an alcohol-free venue and self-catering is not permitted.
