    A simple, reflective service offering an opportunity to remember with thankfulness those we have known and loved who have died, to light a candle in their memory, and to be reminded that because of Jesus, death does not have the last word.

  • Chapel
    Tuesday 4th November

    The Mothers’ Union movement was founded in 1876 by Mary Sumner to support family life through faith, fellowship, and action.

    We have an active branch here at St Barnabas, and we’d love for you to be a part of it! Join us on the first Tuesday of each month for prayer, a hymn, a topic of discussion, and a cuppa!

    Our gatherings are all-inclusive men and women, welcoming everyone who wishes to join.

    Thursday 20th November 2025, 7-8.30pm, All Saints, Gravelly Hill

    Discover how your church can get involved with learning more about this issue, pray for the churches, and work to support them and campaign on their behalf.

    The evening will include stories, information, practical ideas for your church and testimonies from people who have faced persecution.

    The morning will be led by Revd. Margaret Robinson and Sandra Rogers.

    An invitation this Advent, to explore and encounter Jesus, as the Light in our own lives.

    We will introduce different ways of praying with passages from the Bible. This will include praying with pictures/ colouring/drawing, if you would like to.

    There will be times when we will guide you in prayer as a group and times to reflect on some prayer activities we will give you, on your own, in a time of silence.

    Tea and coffee will be provided.

  • Churchyard
    Saturday 15th November
    10am-12pm

    Do you have a special connection to St Barnabas Churchyard? If you are passionate about community, nature, or simply want to make a positive impact, we need YOU!

    Whether you are an experienced gardener or just eager to lend a hand, everyone is welcome. The project is thoroughly risk assessed, and volunteers will be provided with all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety.

    Together, we can transform the churchyard into a safe and serene space for everyone.

    Please ensure you wear suitable footwear and clothing, considering the weather!
